How to apply passport
Steps to Apply for a Passport
- Register and fill the application
Visit the Passport Seva Portal, register with your details, and fill the online application form.
- Submit documents
Upload or bring self-attested copies of:
- Proof of identity (Aadhaar card, PAN card, etc.)
- Proof of address (utility bill, ration card, etc.)
- Birth certificate (if required)
- Pay the fees
Fees vary based on the type and validity of the passport (normal or tatkal).
- Schedule and visit the appointment
Book an appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra or Regional Passport Office.
- Verification and passport issuance
Documents and police verification are completed before your passport is printed and dispatched.

Proof of Address:
- Electricity Bill / Water Bill
- Bank Passbook
- Ration Card
- Rent Agreement
Proof of Date of Birth:

- School Leaving Certificate
- Government-issued ID with date of birth
